I had no symptoms. I was a symptomatic. I was getting an endoscopy for GERD.

i realized after diagnosis that i’d had symptoms for years but never made the connected; it was a week of unexplained loose stool and watching a video about the “fad” gluten diet (with bits about celiac disease), then thinking back to my grandmother who had ALL the symptoms as well, that made me ask my doctor about getting tested. My daughter was also tested after my diagnosis; she had no symptoms before, and still hasn’t noticed anything that may have improved or changed.

Not entirely yet. The problem is I’m still navigating the grocery store. Recently I had been eating a product that proclaimed “Gluten Free” in huge letters, plus indicated “proud sponsor of Celiac Disease Foundation”. I mistakenly thought it was safe, only to find out after the fact that this product is produced in a wheat-producing facility. It was causing me to have continual symptoms. Others since have said they had the same issue with this product. These sort of things make it very hard to stay completely symptom free. However, it is a living/learning experience 馃檪

That must be frustrating and make things even more challenging!
