GP Pain and nausea

Posted by jesper1 @jesper1, Oct 28, 2021

Hi there, I have been battling GP for about 5 years now but am only recently diagnosed. I have taken everything for nausea but nothing works and usually end up in the ER. Also what does everyone take for pain? They say no opioids because it will make your GP worse but I get morphine in the ER and it helps tremendously! Tramadol seems to help at home but not all the time. As for the nausea I have been on Reglan, zofran, compazine, phenerghan, now taking thorazine which seems to help but makes me tired. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou!

Because if other health issues I have I am not able to take anything for pain OR nause so it's a huge struggle for me. I recently found the green tea with with Lemon Myrtle helps ease the nausea and a walk and a heating pad eases the pain. GP is truly a struggle!! These things work for me but I know we are all different. Praying you get some relief.

It is definitely frustrating for sure. I joined this group for the same reason as I was looking for others who are dealing with the same issues and didn't know who to go to. Praying for you.

I have been diagnosed with gastroparesis and gastritis and I also have the nausea and pain in my stomach. I have had 3 back surgeries and 1 neck surgery. My Neurosurgeon has me on muscle relaxers, Lyrica and Hydrocodone for the pain. Nothing works for the nausea. I just pray that they can find something that will help us all.
