I am taking calcium with magnesium and vitamin D plus I also take vitamin C daily and I find my stool is not the right consistency which can be bad for hemorrhoids. Too dry and hard is bad but too soft constantly cant be good either I assume. I eat plenty of fruit, vegies, hummus flax seed ….. I also have GERDs, a Hiatal Hernia and IBS. I am determined to control things with diet but I think I am going overboard with too much vegies, beans, and the magnesium in my calcium helps loosen up the bowels….. I’m trying to find a happy medium but its taking some doing and I’m not too comfortable yet. Should I take Vitamin C every day? or should I skip a day. I take 1000 mg, Ester C since I don’t tolerate citric very well.

It’s so hard to find the right balance! Vitamin c, especially Ester-c or calcium ascorbate (easier on the stomach than as orbit acid), is important to take every day as an antioxidant, a detoxifier, and it can really help with allergies & other chronic conditions. I’m trying to find the right dosage I’d magnesium for me right now. Too little and I don’t go or it’s too hard & dry, too much, and the constipation is then rushed by diarrhea or stool that is medium-soft and doesn’t seem to want to come out or stay in my body! Aaaaggghhh! (Sorry for being graphic, but how else can we figure it out?!) sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I’ve had to back off of so many things and just try pretty much one at a time to see what or how much I need. Good luck!

Its a balancing act evidently. Trial and error. I always prefer to go too
much rather than not enough and will continue to tinker with what to eat,
when and how much. Its nerve wracking but best not to give up the fight,
no one else can fight it for us. I find rice is a binder for me but I
don’t eat rice daily. Perhaps I should since its not irritating to me,
brown of course I think is preferable. I’ll see what I can do. Good luck
with your daily balancing act.

Please try green banana resistance starch, it has done wonders for me with the same problems you have, especially runny bowel movements and constipation, I suffered both and had continual permanent blood loss from internal hemorrhoids, now have found they have settled down
